Trey Hendrickson Confirms Departure from Bengals, Enters Free Agency

Defensive end Trey Hendrickson will become an unrestricted free agent in the upcoming league year, as the Cincinnati Bengals did not apply a franchise or transition tag.

Hendrickson confirmed his intention to depart from the Bengals via an Instagram post on Tuesday.

In his message, he expressed appreciation for the Bengals organization, his teammates, coaches, and the team's fanbase, referring to Cincinnati as home.

Productive Tenure in Cincinnati

During his tenure with the Bengals, Hendrickson recorded 61 sacks across 72 regular season games. He also contributed 3.5 sacks during the team's 2021 playoff run to the Super Bowl.

High Demand Expected in Free Agency

His pass-rushing capabilities are expected to generate significant interest from other teams during free agency.
