The project, aptly titled "From bustling Venice Beach to gas station shrines," centers on the fractured psyche of the United States.

Frayne captured the images almost entirely on analogue film. His extensive work spanned over three years, during which he traversed nine states. The resulting photographs highlight diverse and significant areas, including the west, deep south, and Bible belt.
