Five additional individuals have been arrested in connection with the theft of items from the Louvre Museum. The arrests, including a main suspect, occurred on Wednesday night in the Paris region, following earlier admissions of involvement by two other men.

Paris' public prosecutor confirmed that five more suspects were arrested on Wednesday night in the Paris region regarding the Louvre theft. Laure Beccuau's office, which is the public prosecutor's office, stated that a main suspect was among those taken into custody, as reported by AFP. These arrests follow two men having partially recognized their involvement in the incident earlier on Wednesday.
The Original Incident
On October 19, items with an estimated value of €88 million (£76 million; $102 million) were taken from the Louvre Museum. Four individuals reportedly broke into the building during daylight hours.
