Mick Schumacher's IndyCar Debut Concludes on Opening Lap

Mick Schumacher's IndyCar debut concluded on the opening lap following an incident.

The former Haas F1 driver is competing in the IndyCar series with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing.

The initial round of the IndyCar season was held in St Petersburg, where Scott McLoughlin achieved pole position. Schumacher commenced the race from the 21st grid position.

The Incident Unfolds

The incident occurred within the first four corners of the event. Sting Ray Robb of Juncos Hollinger Racing entered the braking zone too deeply, making contact with Santino Ferrucci.

Schumacher, positioned to the left of Ferrucci, subsequently clipped the rear of Ferrucci's vehicle.

Both Schumacher and Ferrucci were removed from the race as a result of the collision. Sting Ray Robb remained in the competition.
