Alyssa Healy's Farewell Century Seals Series Victory for Australia

Alyssa Healy concluded her white-ball cricket career for Australia by scoring a century, helping secure a decisive series victory against India.

Alyssa Healy marked the end of her illustrious white-ball career for Australia with a magnificent century in the third One Day International against India in Hobart. Her impactful performance propelled Australia to a commanding victory, thereby securing the series.

Australia's Dominant Batting Display

Sent in to bat, Australia posted a formidable total of 7-409, largely thanks to Healy's explosive innings. Healy scored 158 runs off just 98 balls, an innings punctuated by 27 fours and two sixes. She brought up her eighth ODI century with a signature pull shot.

After reaching her century, Healy accelerated rapidly, needing only 16 balls to reach 150 from 98 deliveries before her dismissal in the 37th over.

Support came from Georgia Voll, who contributed 62 runs from 52 balls. Beth Mooney further bolstered the score, remaining unbeaten with a superb 106 runs off 84 balls, including 10 fours and a six. Mooney completed her century in the final over of the innings, capping off a remarkable batting effort.

India's Chase Falls Short

In response, India found themselves unable to keep pace with the daunting required run rate. Australia's bowlers maintained pressure throughout the innings. Ash Gardner secured 1 wicket for 44 runs over nine overs, while Alana King was particularly effective, claiming 4 wickets for 33 runs across her 10 overs.

Series Victory Sealed

Australia ultimately secured a comprehensive 185-run victory. This win established an unassailable lead in the series, setting the stage for the upcoming Test match with confidence.
