Satellite Imagery Details Extensive Damage in Iran and UAE After Recent Bombardments

Satellite imagery has detailed the extent of damage in Iran and the United Arab Emirates, reportedly resulting from recent military bombardments involving the United States, Israel, and Iran. The imagery indicates significant impact on various sites, including military facilities and the compound of Iran's supreme leader in Tehran, alongside damage to an industrial area in the UAE.

Damage in Tehran: Supreme Leader's Compound Hit

High-definition satellite imagery captured significant damage at the compound of Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, known as Leadership House, in Tehran. Airbus imagery depicted a central building in ruins and emitting smoke. Surrounding gardens appeared flattened and covered in debris, with other compound structures also showing damage. An Israeli media outlet reported that dozens of bombs were deployed in the vicinity, though the use of bunker-buster munitions remains unconfirmed.

A video filmed on Jomhuri Avenue in central Tehran showed a large smoke plume rising several blocks away, with an individual in the video identifying the leader's compound as the probable target.

The compound, described as a historical operational center for the Islamic Republic, was reportedly vacated by Khamenei, who had moved to a secure underground bunker due to reported escalating tensions.
An area northeast of the compound also exhibited damage.

US President Donald Trump and Iranian state media reported the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in a strike on his Tehran compound. Following these reports, large gatherings of individuals identified as mourners were observed at Enghelab Square in Tehran on Sunday, just north of Leadership House.

Iranian Military Facilities Sustain Heavy Blows

Konarak Naval Base and Surrounding Areas

On Iran's southeast coast, satellite imagery from Konarak naval base displayed a warship on fire in the port, located in the Gulf of Oman. Vantor's black and white capture showed the vessel emitting a large pillar of black smoke. Fresh imagery revealed significant damage to multiple military facilities at Konarak. President Trump stated that nine Iranian naval ships were sunk during the conflict.

At a nearby drone base in Konarak, significant debris was observed across a large area. Images of the Konarak air base also indicated damage to aircraft shelters. The presence of the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln and other US warships was recorded in the Arabian Sea as recently as February 25.

Tabriz Missile Base

Imagery from Planet Labs documented damage at the Tabriz missile base in Iran's north-west. This complex is identified as Iran's second silo-housed missile base and was reportedly targeted by the US and Israel in June 2025. Military analysts state the facility houses multiple types of medium-range ballistic missiles. Satellite data indicates collapsed tunnel entrances and flattened structures at the site.

Industrial Area in UAE Struck

The aftermath of an Iranian strike on the United Arab Emirates was also captured. An image from March 1 depicted a large plume of thick black smoke emerging from an industrial area in Sharjah, north of Dubai. Verified ground footage confirmed the presence of a large fire at the location.
