Miss Envy's victory marks her third Group 1 success, cementing her status among the elite.

Race Outcome

Miss Envy, under the training of Steve and Krystal Shinners, secured the Group 1 Sportsbet Rookie Rebel (600m) title. Her winning time was an impressive 34.24 seconds, placing her ahead of competitors Vista Weird and Valenzuela.

Preparation and Background

Miss Envy, a greyhound by Aston Dee Bee and Miss America, is prepared by Western Australian trainers Steve and Krystal Shinners. Leading up to the Rookie Rebel, she conducted a crucial trial at The Meadows. Her last competitive appearance was in late January, where she placed fifth in the Listed Maidment Memorial at Sandown Park.

For the month prior to the Group 1 race, Miss Envy's preparation took place in Victoria, with trainers Kel and Jackie Greenough providing assistance. Trainer Steve Shinners acknowledged the support and noted some preparation setbacks following Miss Envy's Sandown appearance. He stated, "We are so proud of her," adding, "We had a few setbacks after the Sandown run, but we are proud to see her win her third Group race."

Future Engagements

Miss Envy is scheduled to return to Western Australia following her latest Group 1 triumph. Upcoming plans include preparation for the prestigious Group 1 Perth Cup, with the Sandgroper race also identified as a potential future engagement.
