CBS Greenlights Ashley Tisdale's New Comedy "You’re Only Young Twice"

CBS is developing a new multi-camera comedy series titled "You’re Only Young Twice," which will star and be executive produced by Ashley Tisdale. The project, originating from CBS Studios, centers on a divorced couple restarting their lives as empty-nesters.

The new series, "You’re Only Young Twice," is currently in development. Ashley Tisdale is set to headline the project, in addition to her role as executive producer.

The series will explore their experiences as newly divorced empty-nesters as they navigate dating, co-parenting, and the potential for new relationships.

Premise

The comedy focuses on the characters Emily, played by Tisdale, and Alex. The couple married in high school after Emily became pregnant. At age 35, with their child beginning college, they make the decision to divorce.

Creative Team

Tommy Johnagin wrote "You’re Only Young Twice" and also serves as an executive producer on the project. He is joined by Ashley Tisdale and Mandy Summers as executive producers. Johnagin's previous work includes "Ted Animated" and "That ’90s Show," where Summers also holds credits.

Ashley Tisdale's Involvement

This development marks Ashley Tisdale's return to multi-camera comedy and CBS. She previously held a series regular role on the 2020 sitcom "Carol’s Second Act." Tisdale's other notable credits include "High School Musical," "Hellcats," "Merry Happy Whatever," and voice-over work for "Phineas and Ferb."
