BLACKPINK Unveils New EP 'DEADLINE'

BLACKPINK has released a new EP titled 'DEADLINE', marking the group's first significant music project since their 2022 album 'Born Pink'. The EP's release follows the conclusion of their "DEADLINE World Tour."

'DEADLINE': A New Chapter After 'Born Pink'

The 'DEADLINE' EP is the group's first music project since 'Born Pink', which reached the No. 1 position on the Billboard 200 chart in 2022. This new release signals a highly anticipated return for the global group.

The EP was preceded by the single "JUMP," a collaboration with Diplo, which attained the No. 28 position on the Billboard Hot 100 in July. While "JUMP" included both Korean and English lyrics, the four new tracks featured on the 'DEADLINE' EP are entirely in English.

Concluding the "DEADLINE World Tour"

Prior to the EP's release, BLACKPINK successfully wrapped up their "DEADLINE World Tour." The tour, initially announced in February 2025, was an expansive undertaking that spanned 16 cities and featured 33 concerts.

During a period of group inactivity leading up to the tour, individual members JISOO, JENNIE, ROSÉ, and LISA each pursued and released solo projects, keeping fans engaged before the group's collective comeback.

Production Powerhouses Behind 'DEADLINE'

The production credits for the 'DEADLINE' EP feature both familiar talents and new collaborators. Longtime producer TEDDY, along with composers IDO, Danny Chung, and Vince, contributed to the project.

New collaborators involved in the EP include Chris Martin of Coldplay, EJAE, and Cirkut.

Earlier this month, TEDDY, EJAE, and IDO received a Grammy Award for "Best Song Written for Visual Media" for their work on "Golden."
