Judge Refers Case Records for Espionage Investigation
A judge has indicated that defendants in a case appear to have acted with the participation of "unknown third parties."
The judge further explained that these third parties may include officials from Greek and foreign intelligence services.
As a direct result of these observations, the judge decided to send the trial records to the Athens Prosecutor's Office. This referral has been made for the specific purpose of investigating whether a series of felonies, including the serious offense of espionage, were committed.
