Background to the Invitation

The invitation comes amidst ongoing legal action initiated by Michele Blair. In 2023, Michele Blair filed a lawsuit against several Appomattox County Schools officials.

The lawsuit claims that officials concealed information regarding Sage's gender identity and bullying, which allegedly contributed to Sage's decision to run away.

Following Sage's disappearance, Michele Blair stated that Sage was subsequently kidnapped, raped, and sex-trafficked across state lines.
