Woman Dies After Bribie Island Scooter-Car Collision

A 65-year-old woman has died following a collision involving a scooter and a car on Bribie Island. The incident occurred at approximately 9 am on Wednesday.

The collision took place on Sunderland Drive at Bellara. The woman, from Bongaree, was operating a Kymco motorised scooter when it collided with a car.

She sustained life-threatening injuries and was not transported to a hospital by paramedics, as confirmed by the Queensland Ambulance Service.

The driver of the car, an 84-year-old man from Banksia Beach, was reported to be uninjured. He was operating a Kia Sorento during the incident.
