LAFC defeated Inter Miami with a score of 3-0.
Tactical Performance and Defensive Prowess
LAFC maintained 34.5% possession during the game and generated six significant goal-scoring opportunities, while Inter Miami created one. The team's defensive performance was particularly noted during the match, especially against Lionel Messi's attempts in the final third.
LAFC head coach Marc Dos Santos commented on the team's defensive efforts, stating:
"The way we defended the box was excellent."
He further highlighted the team's collective effort in defending against the ball, tracking opposition runners, movement around the penalty area, and preventing one-two passes. Dos Santos described these aspects as "exceptional" and the top performing elements of the team's play.
