Intel Nova Lake and AMD Zen 6 Desktop CPUs Delayed to 2027

New reports suggest that the launches of Intel Nova Lake and AMD Zen 6 desktop CPUs, originally expected in 2026, have been delayed to 2027. This impacts both companies' next-generation processor lineups.

Intel's Nova Lake S Processors Shift to 2027

According to a report from the leaker Golden Pig Upgrade Pack, Intel's Nova Lake S processors are now anticipated to launch at CES 2027, an event that typically occurs in January.

Previously, Intel's Q4 and Full-Year 2025 financial report had indicated a Nova Lake launch by the end of 2026. However, Intel CFO David Zinsner had stated that the company was shifting production capacity towards the data center market to meet high demand, while still aiming to support the client market amid supply challenges.

AMD's Zen 6 Series Also Pushed Back

Separately, the publication Benchlife reported that AMD's Zen 6 CPUs, codenamed Olympic Ridge, will also not be released in 2026.

Key Factors Behind the Delays

These delays for both Intel and AMD are reportedly influenced by the increasing demand for AI-related hardware and ongoing memory supply issues affecting CPU production.
