Foo Fighters performed "Your Favorite Toy," the title track from their upcoming 12th studio album, on The Graham Norton Show. The album, also titled "Your Favorite Toy," is scheduled for release on April 24 and marks the band's first recording with drummer Ilan Rubin. The television appearance also featured a substitute guitarist, backing vocalists, and discussions with other guests.

Album Details Unveiled

Foo Fighters officially announced their 12th studio album, "Your Favorite Toy," earlier in the week. The album's title track shares the same name. This highly anticipated record is set for release on April 24 and notably marks the band's first recording featuring their new drummer, Ilan Rubin.

During a discussion, frontman Dave Grohl commented on the band's three-decade history. He explained that the band's approach to new records is influenced by their collective life experiences and the evolved nature of their internal relationships, which now encompass family and friends.

Live Performance Highlights

The band performed "Your Favorite Toy" live for the first time on The Graham Norton Show. For this debut, Jason Falkner served as a substitute guitarist, filling in for Pat Smear, who was recovering from a gardening accident. An image of Pat Smear was prominently displayed on the kick drum during the band's set. Additionally, Jake Shears and Babydaddy, members of Scissor Sisters, provided backing vocals for the performance.

Dave Grohl also participated in a conversation segment on the show, where he was joined by Charli XCX, Benicio del Toro, Jennifer Garner, and Gordon Ramsay. During her appearance, Charli XCX reviewed a viral video featuring Dave Grohl and his daughter Harper performing a dance to her song "Apple," adding a personal and humorous moment to the broadcast.
