Zelenskyy Calls for New Peace Talks, Suggests Leaders' Meeting

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has provided an update following recent peace talks with Russia and the US in Geneva, indicating that avenues for peace remain open.

Zelenskyy conveyed a hopeful outlook, stating that "real opportunities to end the war with dignity still exist." He urged for a subsequent round of negotiations to convene "very soon, as early as this February."

Ukraine has prepared its responses for the upcoming meeting, with the objective of addressing key issues at a leaders' level. These discussions would involve Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin. Zelenskyy underscored the potential impact of such a high-level engagement, emphasizing that a leaders' format "could prove decisive" and confirming Ukraine's readiness for it.

"Real opportunities to end the war with dignity still exist."

The President also acknowledged the efforts of his team, noting their patience during discussions with Russian counterparts, which he described as "not always easy or reasonable."

European Engagement

Regarding international support, Zelenskyy highlighted Europe's active participation in the process to resolve the conflict. He asserted that Europe's role in these efforts "must grow."
