Lightning Halts Roosters-Eels Trial Game
A pre-season trial game between the Sydney Roosters and Parramatta Eels was temporarily interrupted by lightning. The match, held at Polytec Stadium, was halted after just four minutes of play.
The Roosters had scored through prop forward Lindsay Collins, opening the scoring. An NRL official then instructed players to leave the field due to repeated lightning strikes.
