Two-Woman Bobsled: Humphries Sits Third After Run 2

Kaillie Humphries of the United States placed third following Run 2 of the two-woman bobsled competition, currently behind Germany's Laura Nolte and Lisa Buckwitz.

Humphries, a gold medalist for Canada at Vancouver 2010 and Sochi 2014, is 0.23 seconds from the gold medal position in her pursuit of a first two-woman medal representing Team USA.

Race Dynamics

Laura Nolte, the defending Olympic gold medalist, initially set a track record. Humphries and push athlete Jasmine Jones then surpassed this time by 0.05 seconds. In Run 2, Nolte and brakewoman Deborah Levi achieved first place.

Lisa Buckwitz, who won two-woman gold at PyeongChang 2018, is in second place, 0.05 seconds ahead of Humphries.

Kaysha Love and push athlete Azaria Hill are positioned fifth after Run 2, 0.39 seconds from a medal position.
