Scrubs Revival Announces Premiere Date and Additional Cast Members

The "Scrubs" revival is scheduled to premiere with two back-to-back episodes on Wednesday, February 25, at 8 p.m. on ABC. The series will feature several original cast members returning, alongside new guest stars.

The series will depict JD and Turk working together again after a significant period, navigating an evolving medical landscape while their enduring friendship remains a constant.

Several beloved original cast members are set to reprise their iconic roles for the revival:

Welcoming New Guest Stars

The revival will also introduce a fresh set of guest stars to the Sacred Heart Hospital environment:

  • Rachel Bilson will join the cast as Charlie, described as an elusive visitor at Sacred Heart.
  • Andy Ridings will portray Wes, a pilot responsible for delivering transplant organs.
  • Lisa Gilroy will appear as Lily, a harp player in the hospital lobby.

The narrative will once again center on JD and Turk, who find themselves working together after a considerable time apart. While the dynamics of medicine and the new generation of interns have undoubtedly evolved, their deep-rooted friendship remains a core theme. Production Details

Bill Lawrence, the celebrated creator of the original series, will serve as an executive producer for the revival, ensuring a connection to its roots. He is joined by additional executive producers including Jeff Ingold, Liza Katzer, Aseem Batra (who also acts as showrunner), and Randall Winston. This 30-minute comedy is produced by 20th Television, a division of Disney Television Studios.
