Manning Man Charged with Child Exploitation Material Offences

A 46-year-old man from Manning, Western Australia, has been charged with producing and disseminating child exploitation material. The man is currently in custody and is scheduled to appear in Perth Magistrates Court.

The charges include two counts of distributing child exploitation material and three counts of producing child exploitation material.

Investigators allege the man corresponded with convicted child sex offenders and murderers globally for several years, using both written communication and the internet.

Investigation Details

The Child Exploitation Operations Squad in Western Australia initiated an investigation after receiving a tip-off from the Texas Board of Criminal Justice in January. On February 12, officers conducted a raid on a home in Manning.

During the raid, officers reportedly located and seized numerous files, photos, and videos belonging to the accused, which are classified as child exploitation material.
