Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile to Cease Operations April 17

Activision Blizzard has announced that Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile will cease operations on April 17. This decision follows previous changes to the game's support, which included its removal from app stores in May 2025. No new content has been added to the game since then.

A statement on the Activision Support website indicated the reason for the closure:

The game "did not meet our expectations with mobile-first players like it has with PC and console audiences."

Player Accounts & In-Game Currency

Upon shutdown, guest accounts used for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile will no longer function. Activision accounts, however, will remain usable for other Call of Duty titles on PC, consoles, and Call of Duty Mobile.

Players with unspent CoD points in Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile are advised to use them before April 17, as they will be inaccessible after the servers close. Some unlockable content from Warzone Mobile can be transferred to other versions of Warzone.

Initial Performance Analysis

The game's public launch performance showed it generated $1.4 million in its first four days, according to Pocket Gamer. This contrasts with Call of Duty Mobile, which generated $4.2 million within the same timeframe, highlighting a significant difference in initial performance.
