Chrome 145 for Android: New Home Icon Debuts

Chrome 145 is being widely released on Android, featuring a new Home icon in the address bar.

The updated Home icon appears to the left of the Omnibox.

Redesigned Home Icon Details

Its design is sharper, removing previous curved corners. The roof is now flush with the side of the house symbol, and a door element has been added. This icon style has previously been implemented in desktop Chrome.

Customization Options for Users

Users have the option to remove the Home icon to create a wider address bar.

This can be achieved by navigating to Settings > Homepage and either disabling the icon entirely or changing the Homepage setting from New Tab Page to a custom web address.

This redesigned Home icon represents the primary user-facing change in Chrome 145 for Android.
