David Chokachi Reprises Cody Madison Role in Fox's 'Baywatch' Reboot
David Chokachi, who famously played Cody Madison in the original "Baywatch" series, is confirmed to reprise his role in Fox's upcoming "Baywatch" reboot. This news brings a familiar face back to the iconic lifeguard drama.
In the new series, Cody Madison will operate "The Shoreline," a Baywatch-themed bar and grill, alongside his continued service as a lifeguard.
He is depicted as a mentor and friend to his fellow lifeguards, adding a layer of continuity and experience to the team.
Chokachi joins Stephen Amell, who was previously cast as Hobie Buchannon, the son of Mitch Buchannon from the original series. This indicates a blend of original legacy characters and new narratives for the reboot.
Fox officially ordered a 12-episode series for the reboot in September, with Matt Nix serving as the showrunner.
Chokachi was a series regular on the original "Baywatch" for four seasons, beginning in Season 6. His prior television credits also include roles in "Witchblade" and "Beyond the Break."
