Reynolds Prepares for Final English Game Amid Retirement

Adam Reynolds, the 35-year-old halfback, is scheduled to play his second and final game in England. He will compete against Willie Peters' Hull KR team in the World Club Challenge at Hull’s MKM Stadium.

Reynolds has an undefeated record in this fixture, having secured a victory with South Sydney against St Helens in 2015.

Retirement Announced

Reynolds announced his retirement earlier this month. This decision was one he considered after his team's grand final triumph last year. He questioned the prospect of continuing his career, citing his age and the physical demands. Reynolds stated that continuing to play might have involved joining another club, which he deemed not worthwhile at this stage. He chose to announce his retirement before the season to prevent it from being a distraction.

The Hull KR Connection

Rumors had previously suggested Reynolds might play for Hull KR. He confirmed a positive relationship with Willie Peters and indicated that if he were to play in England, Hull KR would have been his choice. This consideration occurred as he explored options to extend his career.

However, he noted that moving to England without his young, large family was not a suitable option.

Facing Hull KR and Reconnecting

Regarding an opponent, Mikey Lewis, Reynolds described him as a "big game player" with a "big future." Reynolds also expressed anticipation for reconnecting with Willie Peters, acknowledging Peters as a significant influence on his career.
