Google Play System updates for select Samsung Galaxy smartphones and tablets are now rolling out. Previously, some devices were still running on the July 1, 2025, version.
January 2026 Update Details
The new update is the January 1, 2026, Google Play System update. It has been observed on devices such as the Galaxy S23 and is approximately 90MB in size.
According to Google, the January 2026 update includes upgrades to several components, including Android WebView, Google Play Services, Account Management, Security & Privacy, Utilities, Wallet, Google Play Store, Android System Intelligence, and Private Compute Services.
