WWE Speed Championship Rules Modified Ahead of Title Match

Two significant rule changes have been announced for the WWE Speed Championship in anticipation of the upcoming title match.

The recent WWE Speed Championship tournament concluded with an unexpected outcome during a broadcast of WWE NXT. The final qualifying match, featuring Elio LeFleur and Eli Knight, was held to determine the challenger for reigning champion Jasper Troy. The match reached its three-minute time limit without a clear winner, resulting in a draw.

Interim NXT General Manager Robert Stone subsequently addressed the situation. Stone declared that the standard Speed Championship rules, which would typically see Jasper Troy retain his title under these circumstances, would be modified. He then unveiled two specific alterations to the championship regulations.

Key Rule Changes Announced

The upcoming championship match will now be a three-way contest, featuring current champion Jasper Troy alongside both Elio LeFleur and Eli Knight. Furthermore, the match time limit will be extended to seven minutes. This increase from the typical five-minute limit for Speed Championship matches is specifically designed to accommodate the inclusion of the additional competitor.
