Kidnapping Survivors Share Abduction and Release Details

Several women and families who were kidnapped have shared details regarding their abductions and subsequent releases.

Four individuals and families interviewed by the BBC reported that they did not know the identity of their captors. One person, however, stated they knew who the kidnappers were and confirmed they were not associated with security services.

Concerning their release, two individuals indicated they were freed following public pressure. The others stated they did not know why they were released.
