Jurgen Klopp's Post-Liverpool Career
Jurgen Klopp began working for the Red Bull group as global head of soccer after departing Liverpool at the end of the 2023/2024 season. During his nine years at Liverpool, Klopp secured the club's first Premier League title, the Champions League, the FA Cup, and two League Cups.
Klopp previously cited exhaustion as the reason for his departure, indicating he would not manage another English club and might not return to top-level coaching.
Agent Reveals Club Approaches
When questioned about Klopp potentially returning to coaching, his agent Marc Kosicke disclosed details regarding various enquiries. Kosicke stated that Klopp is currently content with his role at Red Bull.
He added that Klopp had opportunities to coach the USA, England, or Germany national teams prior to his Red Bull appointment.
Kosicke confirmed that Chelsea and Manchester United also made enquiries, despite Klopp's public stance against managing another English club, and noted that Klopp is transitioning towards management responsibilities.
Both Chelsea and Manchester United have denied making these enquiries.
Previous Bayern Munich Interest
Kosicke also mentioned in a previous interview with Transfermarkt that Bayern Munich approached Klopp on two occasions: in 2008, and again in late 2019, while Klopp was managing Liverpool.
Klopp's Stance on Future Coaching
Klopp reaffirmed his position on a return to management last month, stating that while he can coach a football team, he does not feel compelled to do so indefinitely.
"I do not anticipate changing my mind about not managing again soon," Klopp stated, reinforcing his current stance.
