Post-Diagnosis MVPA Linked to Reduced Cancer Mortality Risk

An analysis involving six pooled cohorts identified an association between increased moderate to vigorous physical activity (MVPA) after a cancer diagnosis and a lower risk of cancer mortality.

This observation pertained to individuals previously diagnosed with one of seven specific cancers that are not commonly examined for their link with MVPA.

Implications for Healthcare Professionals

These findings suggest the importance for healthcare professionals to promote physical activity to enhance longevity and overall health for individuals living with and beyond cancer.
