White Shark Encounter Off Cape Naturalist: Divers Safely Alerted

A 4.5-meter white shark was observed near two divers off the coast of Cape Naturalist, Western Australia. The incident occurred in waters close to the shore.

The shark was initially spotted by the crew of a Surf Life Saving WA helicopter.

Upon identifying the shark, estimated to be approximately 10 meters from the divers, the helicopter crew activated a siren to alert the individuals in the water.

The divers were notified of the shark's presence and promptly exited the water using their jet skis. No injuries were reported as a result of the encounter.
