Former Lieutenant Discusses Potential for Ongoing Police Surveillance Post-Detention

Post-Search Release: Surveillance May Continue, Says Ex-Lieutenant

Retired police lieutenant Randy Sutton suggested on Monday that individuals detained and subsequently released after a search warrant execution could still be under surveillance. Sutton indicated that ongoing investigative steps might be occurring, depending on the evidence uncovered during the search.

"Individuals detained and subsequently released after a search warrant execution could still be under surveillance."

Sutton noted that the specific information derived from interviews with the detained individuals remains undisclosed. He stated that if investigators suspect involvement but lack sufficient probable cause for an immediate arrest, they might seek further warrants. These could include judicial authorizations for wiretaps or the surveillance of phones and other devices to build a stronger case.

Sutton also clarified that physical surveillance is not a certainty. He emphasized that investigators may have fully cleared the detained individuals.

As of Monday morning, authorities have not publicly disclosed the findings from the search.
