Amber Ruffin Co-Writes "Bigfoot! The Musical"
Amber Ruffin has co-written an original off-Broadway musical titled "Bigfoot! The Musical" with Kevin Sciretta.
The musical's narrative features a corrupt mayor, townspeople, and a kindhearted Bigfoot character who desires community. Ruffin began developing the musical in 2014, with the project coming to fruition as an off-Broadway production.
Ruffin stated that the Bigfoot character is intended to represent individuals who have experienced being "othered," including Black women, trans individuals, the LGBTQ community, and immigrants.

She also hosts her own eponymous show, has authored two books, and has contributed to two Broadway revivals.
