Dolphins Release Edge Rusher Bradley Chubb
The Miami Dolphins have decided to release edge rusher Bradley Chubb.
This move will result in approximately $24 million in dead cap money for the Dolphins, while simultaneously generating over $7.3 million in cap savings, unless the release is designated as a post-June 1 transaction.
Chubb's Tenure in Miami
Chubb originally joined the Dolphins via a midseason trade in 2022. During his tenure, he accumulated 22 sacks across 41 games for the team. He was unable to play during the 2024 season due to a torn ACL, but had recorded 8.5 sacks in the previous season.
Looking Ahead
Following the official release, Chubb will become eligible to sign with any team seeking veteran pass-rush assistance for the 2026 season.
