Man Charged After $100,000 Damage Spree at Star Casino Carpark
A 42-year-old man has been charged following an incident of extensive property damage at the Star Casino in Sydney. Police allege the man used a traffic cone to cause an estimated $100,000 worth of damage to 35 vehicles in the casino's Pyrmont carpark.
The Incident Unfolds
The alleged destructive acts reportedly began at approximately 3:50 AM in the casino's Pyrmont carpark. Authorities allege the individual first damaged the carpark boom gate before proceeding to damage multiple unoccupied cars. The incident impacted 35 vehicles in total, resulting in significant repair costs.

Police Action and Charges
Law enforcement officers quickly established a crime scene and initiated an investigation into the widespread damage. The man was located nearby and apprehended following a foot pursuit. He was subsequently transported to Day Street Police Station.
He has been charged with 37 counts of destroying or damaging property. Bail was refused for the accused, who is scheduled to appear before the Downing Centre Local Court.
